Siveco, China's largest maintenance consultancy, has signed two new deals combining RCM studies with Condition Monitoring in the paper industry. The two projects are located in Suzhou and Guangzhou. The plants produce corrugated cardboard sheets, cartons and related packaging products.
The Chinese condition monitoring market has historically been very hardware-driven, with suppliers selling instruments and training, often leading to very disappointing results. Combining maintenance consulting and a long experience of condition monitoring, Siveco has pioneered a new approach based on the RCM methodology and long-term coaching. This approach has already achieved excellent results for existing customers.
The typical Siveco project includes:
- Initial maintenance assessment
- RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) study
- Definition of inspections and measurement rounds
- Supply of Condition Monitoring instrument and software
- Training (mostly on-the-job) of technicians
- Follow-up audits and regular coaching
