Siveco and its Tunisian partner ATMI participated in the 17th Congress of the Union of the Producers, Transporters and Distributors of Electric Power in Africa (UPDEA), co-organized by the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG), a major Siveco customer in the region.
The theme of the Congress, which took place on May 28-31 at the Medina Convention & Expo Center (Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia), was "Development of the African Energy potential and integration of networks for African countries Sustainable Development". With nearly 1.000 participants, senior managers of African electricity companies, professionals and industrialists of the electric power sector, decision makers and donors, this Congress aims at being a major event and intends to be a real and a major opportunity offered to all operators and actors in the electricity sector in Africa.
In addition to Siveco's own participation, several key African customers took part in this Congress, including the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas STEG, South African utility Eskom, Algerian power producer Sonelgaz, Canadian engineering leader SNC-Lavalin, power automation giant ABB.
