On November 7, 2013, the Global Supply Chain Council, Asia's leading professional organization in supply chain, announced that Siveco and Carrefour China had won the 2013 CHaINA "Best Supply Chain Consulting Partner" Award for the RPMS (Risk Prevention Management System) project.
For the eight year in a row, the Global Supply Chain Council (
supplychains.com) presented its CHaINA Awards to recognize and honor the most outstanding achievements in supply chain management from all across Asia. Hosted by Max Henry, the Council Founder, the prestigious CHaINA Awards ceremony was held at the Westin Bund Hotel in front of over 100 senior executives who congratulated the outstanding winners in five categories this year. Unlike other awards, the CHaINA Awards selection process is completely sponsorship-free and is realized by an independent board of senior professionals and advisors to the Council. For the fourth time, the Council also decided to give a voice to its extensive community via an online public voting system, which resulted to 1,850 unique voters.
According to the Global Supply Chain Council's announcement: "Receiving 949 votes representing 51.2% of the total, the Best Supply Chain Consulting Partner Award was given to Siveco for their recent project at Carrefour China. The RPMS is a well-recognized success in the industry and has been a showcase of good practices for Carrefour China. This project touches on many hot topics related to supply chain management in China and has deployed a very innovation solution to achieve food and public safety, innovation and more."
Loic Frouart, Carrefour China's Risk Prevention Director – Shanghai Territory, gave an appreciation speech and a brief overview of the RPMS project. Bruno Lhopiteau, Siveco's General Manager, concluded: "For several years now, safety issues keep making headlines in China and all we hear is horror stories… We hope that, with this award, we can start talking about solutions and success stories."
