Siveco's General Manager Bruno Lhopiteau was invited to deliver a speech at the 2013 Technical Improvement and Equipment Renewal for National Hydroelectric Power Plants & Equipment Condition Monitoring Technology Seminar organized in Shenzhen on May 16 & 17. Bruno is a 15-years veteran of the Chinese maintenance market, who has accumulated a rather unique experience of maintenance improvement in China. He will speak on "The smart technician and the intelligent plant – Lessons from 15 years working with maintenance systems and maintenance people in hydropower plants".

Bruno's career spans EAM/CMMS projects, Condition Monitoring, as well as pure consulting services. Before founding Siveco China in 2004, Bruno involved in many hydropower maintenance projects including the Three Gorges Hydropower plant. Bruno started his career with Condition Monitoring (vibration analysis), which is the main focus of the conference.

Siveco China delivers maintenance improvement projects based on a strong maintenance engineering know-how and the utilization of high-technology tools:

- For greenfield power projects: implementation of maintenance system (CMMS) during the construction phase. This approach was employed for several export projects with Chinese construction companies, including the Merowe Dam (Sudan), Ranhill Powertron II (Malaysia), Banjarsari Mine Mouth Power Plant (Indonesia), as well as many industrial plants in China.

- For multisite hydropower plant owners, facing specific management issues due to remote and sometimes relatively small sites: implementation of multisite risk prevention and maintenance solutions, based on the bluebee® suite of products. While traditional "EAM" solutions often prove too complex and too costly for such projects, Siveco brings successful experience with large multisite maintenance projects in the facilities management industry.

- For existing plants: maintenance improvement projects, including audits of existing maintenance systems (organization and paper processes, EAM/CMMS, CBM etc.), EAM/CMMS improvement services, RCM projects, add-on mobile solutions, condition monitoring, etc. Siveco's maintenance consultants have experience with power plants both at home and abroad.

Siveco Group works with power utilities all over the world, historically with two leading French utilities EDF and GDF Suez. Siveco China has accumulated a unique experience working with Chinese EPC companies on export projects in Southeast Asia and Africa. In the domestic market, Siveco has worked with other types of utilities, such as waste incinerators, water treatment, LNG and oil processing plants.
